The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lilvera Group, Mr Buchi Johnson, has been appointed to the jury of the 2025 Canadian Marketing Association Awards, where he will serve as a judge in the Customer Experience and Shopper Marketing category.

The appointment, announced by the CMA in a statement to the media, recognises Johnson’s contributions, commitment, and impact in the marketing industry across Nigeria and Canada.

The association described him as “earning the call” through his “support and commitment to the marketing community.”

“Thank you so much for the support and commitment; the Awards would not be possible without you. We truly appreciate your time,” the CMA said in its statement.

In his response, Mr Johnson expressed gratitude for the honour and pledged to dedicate his expertise to evaluating some of the best works in the category.

“I am, indeed, grateful and appreciative of the appointment. I will commit myself to this function and dedicate my time to judging these creative works that will be presented to us,” he said.

“I thank the Canadian Marketing Association for appointing me to the jury to judge some of the best works in the customer experience & shopper marketing category. This is an area that I am well conversant with even in Nigeria,” he added.

Johnson, who also established Lilvera Sales, Marketing & Distribution in Canada, is regarded as a thought leader in Africa’s experiential marketing sector. He is a member of the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria and a certified advertising practitioner with the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria.

A strong advocate for customer experience, shopper marketing, and digital marketing, Johnson has urged businesses to invest more in experiential and digital channels, particularly in adapting to the shifting dynamics of the post-pandemic global market.

The 2025 CMA Awards, one of Canada’s most prestigious marketing industry events, will take place on November 7 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, celebrating campaigns and strategies that combine creativity with measurable business success.
