A businessman named Chiebonam Eze, popularly known as Power-Autos, has been stabbed to death on the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) campus after attending a bonfire party.

Reports say Eze, who was not a student of the university, was invited to a bonfire night event organized by the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Arts, on Friday night.

Witnesses said the incident started when Eze’s Mercedes-Benz GLK accidentally scratched another car. This led to an argument between Eze and the other car owner.

Although campus security tried to settle the matter, tensions remained high, and the situation got worse.

Later, when Eze and his friends tried to leave, three cars blocked their path. His friends reportedly ran away, but Eze got out of his vehicle to check what was happening. Sadly, he was stabbed in the neck and died on the spot.

The attackers quickly fled, but one of their cars crashed into a ditch and was left behind.

So far, four suspects have been arrested and handed over to the police. They are now being held at the Enugu State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The Acting Public Relations Officer of UNN, Mr. Sunday Agha, confirmed the incident. He stated that the victim was not a student but was invited to the event. He also mentioned that the university will release an official statement soon.
