Bello Suru Re-Elected as Kebbi PDP Chairman

Bello Suru has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State.

The state congress, which was supported by delegates from all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs), was held using a secret ballot system. The election took place in the presence of party leaders and officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Announcing the results, Chairman of the State Delegates’ Congress, Mukhtar Lugga, described the election as peaceful, transparent, and fair.

“I confirm that the election was conducted peacefully and in line with the law,” Lugga said.

He also announced that 38 other executive members were elected and praised the delegates for their patience and dedication.

In his acceptance speech, Bello Suru thanked party members for trusting him again and promised to make the PDP stronger in Kebbi State.

“We will work together as one family to rebuild the party, resolve internal issues, and make sure PDP becomes strong again in Kebbi politics,” he said.

Aminu Bande, the PDP’s governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, congratulated the new leaders and encouraged them to focus on unity.

“This congress result shows the confidence of the delegates. I urge the new leaders to unite the party and get ready for future success,” Bande said.

Also speaking, PDP Board of Trustees member, Benjamin Dike, said the successful congress showed that the party has moved past its internal challenges.

“Nigerians already know the difference between PDP leadership and the current administration, which has led to economic hardship,” he added.
