Babayemi Consoles Iwo Fire Victims

An All Progressives Congress (APC) leading governorship contender in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has sympathised with the people of Iwo community over a fire incident which destroyed goods and properties worth millions of naira in the area.

While noting that the occurrence of some disasters could be unforeseen, Babayemi said there was need for relevant government agencies to always be equipped with modern tools to combat and curtail such awry incidents.

Reacting to the fire incident which engulfed a popular foam shop situated at Jagun Ọdẹ Compound, Oke Adan Ward 10 area of the ancient town, the governorship hopeful in a release by his media office, decried the fire disaster and consoled the victims.

“The fire incident at Iwo which led to the loss of goods and properties, is indeed, lamentable. While we sympathise with the victims,we equally thank God that no life was lost”  Babayemi stressed

He added that situations like this should help to serve as a wake-up call to the government and related stakeholders in putting needed tools in place, to curtail disasters in the society.
