
A 74-year-old man on Saturday became the first voter to cast his ballot at Polling Unit 003, Awka 2 Ward 6, in Awka South Local Government Area.
The elderly voter arrived early at the polling unit and cast his vote at exactly 8:56 a.m., marking the commencement of voting in the area.
Reports that the Anambra governorship election is being held today, with 16 candidates from 16 political parties contesting to unseat the incumbent governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
