Be Christ-Like, Babayemi Urges Christians

A prominent leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has enjoined Christians in the country to emulate the admirable enduring values in the life of Jesus so as to make the society a worthy place to live in.

Babayemi said that the selfless and the unselfish life lived by Jesus which is still being referenced thousands years after his death, was note worthy of being emulated by the people, especially the Christian adherents.

He made these known in a release issued by his Media Office in commemoration of the Easter Good Friday.

“True Christians should dare to be different by emulating the sacrificial, selfless and the unselfish life lived by Jesus Christ. Enough of rhetorics,lip services and grandstanding often displayed by some Christian leaders and followers today” he maintained.

The respected APC leader insisted that the Nigeria nation would be a better place if the people, especially the Christian adherents, bring to bear, the lessons in the life of Jesus, in their daily conduct to the society.

“There is much hype about religiosity without much adherence to the lessons enshrined;a reason our society continues to move in a circle.The life of Jesus teaches abhorrence to all untoward happenings assailing our country on all fronts today” bemoaned the Gbongan-born Prince.

Babayemi added that if the things stigmatizing Nigeria such as corruption, nepotism and insecurity would become a thing of the past,then the people should be ready to give their all to God in their conducts wether in the private or public glare.

“These things giving us headaches today in our society if not totally eradicated, they will be reduced to the barest minimum. It’s doable if we could be God fearing and true to it” he maintained.

Meanwhile, Babayemi has called on Christians to continue to pray for the nation, especially as efforts were being geared towards elections in the country.

“Let’s continue to pray for hitch-free elections that will lead to the success of APC in all elections and the reelection of President Bola Tinubu.The success of the coming elections will further solidify our unity in Nigeria.This,we must all pursue for the overall good of everyone” he counseled.
