The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress in the November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election, Chioma Ifemeludike, has held a strategic town hall meeting with distinguished sons and daughters of the state, as well as community ambassadors residing in the United Kingdom.
According to a press statement released by the governorship candidate on Saturday, the well-attended engagement, which took place in London, provided a platform for frank conversation about the future of Anambra and the urgent need for a people-centred government rooted in development, inclusion, and innovation.
In her remarks, Ifemeludike reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the holistic development of Anambra State.
She spoke about the need to reposition Anambra as the golden child of the nation, adding, “A state known not just for its historical relevance, but for functional governance, thriving local enterprise, and a dignified life for all residents”.
She called on the diaspora community to rally behind her vision, support her bid, and help build the kind of Anambra that prioritises people over profit, development over propaganda and action over empty rhetoric.
“We have the vision to build the kind of Anambra that prioritises people over profit, development over propaganda, and action over empty rhetoric. With the support of Ndi Anambra home and abroad, this vision can be actualised,” she said.
During the town hall, Ifemeludike also unveiled a major campaign initiative—the “Football, Music, and Acting Talent Hunt Exercise”—a “youth-centred programme designed to discover, nurture, and promote the talents of young Anambrarians in sports and the creative industry.
“This initiative is a bold statement of our campaign’s core belief: that talent, when supported, becomes a powerful driver of empowerment, employment, and positive social change.
“The Chioma4Governor campaign continues to engage citizens at home and abroad in a shared mission to liberate Anambra from failed leadership and restore its pride of place in Nigeria,” she added.
