Former Governor of Oyo State, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has been officially crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The coronation took place at the Ose Meji Temple in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area.
Earlier, Oba Ladoja received the traditional Akoko leaf at the Labosinde Compound, Oja’ba, which is an important step in the traditional installation process.
He is expected to be formally presented with the staff and instrument of office by Governor Seyi Makinde at a ceremony to be held at the historic Mapo Hall.
According to The PUNCH, Governor Makinde cut short his annual leave on Thursday in order to personally attend Oba Ladoja’s coronation.
It will be remembered that Ladoja became the Olubadan-designate after the death of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025.
More details will be shared soon…
