BREAKING: Yakubu steps aside as INEC Chairman

The National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has reportedly stepped aside.

National Commissioner, Mrs May Mbu is now acting chairman of the commission, THE POINT has reliably gathered.

“Prof Mahmood Yakubu inec chairman step aside. Mrs May Mbu, National Commissioner, is the Acting Chairman,” the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun State, Mutiu Agboke, made this known on Tuesday.
