Isese Day: Babayemi Tasks Adherents To Pray For Nigeria

A leading All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has tasked the adherents of traditional religion in the country to always pray for the development of Nigeria.

Babayemi also enjoined them to always ensure a continuous peaceful coexistence among the adherents of other religions in the country.

In a release issued by his media office, the APC Governorship hopeful congratulated them on the celebration of this year’s Isese Day.

While congratulating the adherents of traditional religions, particularly in Osun, on this year’s annual Isese Day, he said, “one will urge you to make sure our various laudable cultural engagements are sustained and enlivened to be appreciated at the global level”

This, he explained, would help to encourage more foreign tourists to cultivate the habit of seeing, knowing and appreciating the people’s cultures across the Yoruba-speaking states.

Further felicitating with the traditional worshippers, Babayemi appealed to them, especially those in the State, to make sure they participate fully in the ongoing voters registration exercise being undertaken by INEC.

He said their participation would have an impact on the 2026 governorship election slated for next year in the State as well as the 2027 general election that would actualise the second term of President Bola Tinubu.

Babayemi then implored them to continue to sensitise their members in this regard, maintaining that it was their civic responsibility to always participate in the national course.
