An outstanding gubernatorial aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi,has described the Ooni of Ile-Ife,Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, as a leading and worthy cultural crusader of the Yoruba race.
Babayemi opined that Oba Ogunwusi’s drive and commitment to seeing the promotion of the race’s ethos in conjunction with other traditional rulers and stakeholders in southwest, have been commendable.
The governorship hopeful who joined millions of people around the globe in celebrating His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ile-Ife on his 51st birthday celebration, stated these in a release by his media office.
Babayemi commended the highly revered royal father for leading the cultural rebirth of the Yoruba race, noting that such effort would ensure that the cultural heritage of the Yoruba people was preserved for generations.
“As we celebrate Kabiyesi’s exemplary leadership, vision, and dedication to the growth and unity of the Yoruba land and beyond,our hope for a more robust tomorrow for our people is assured,” Babayemi stressed.
The prominent governorship aspirant appealed to the royal father to always work in concert with other monarchs in southwest of Nigeria for the sustenance and preservation of the sanctity of the Yoruba culture.
While praying for long life for the traditional ruler, Babayemi also prayed for peaceful reign that would be accompanied by enviable heights, not only in the ancient town of Ile-Ife and Osun State, but the entire nation.
