Subscribers to Ossiomo Power may begin receiving electricity again this week if Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, successfully brokers peace between Ossiomo Power and Infrastructure Company and its partner, Jiangsu Communication Clean Energy Technology Company.

The power supply was cut off on September 1st following an ownership dispute between the two firms. The shutdown was reportedly initiated by the Chinese partners, who cited multiple infractions in the existing agreement.

Sources revealed that Governor Okpebholo stepped in to mediate the crisis and ensure the restoration of electricity to affected subscribers.

A senior government official confirmed the Governor’s meeting with representatives of both companies and expressed optimism about a positive outcome.

“The state Governor has invited both shareholders for talks to resolve the dispute. The meeting is scheduled for this week. We’re hopeful that, following the discussion, electricity will be restored,” the source said.
