Scores of loyalists and well-wishers of reinstated Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara on Thursday stormed the Government House, Port Harcourt in anticipation of his return.
The teeming supporters comprising women, men and youths converged at the gate of the vast premises as early as 6am.
The carnival-like gathering caused traffic gridlock on Azikiwe-Old Port Harcourt Township Road.
Fubara is expected to resume the duties of governor today following Wednesday’s lifting of the six-month state of emergency imposed by President Bola Tinubu.
