Why I can’t commit to one woman – Young Jonn

Famous Nigerian singer Young Jonn has opened up about his current relationship status, revealing that he is not ready to commit to one woman at the moment.

The ‘Dada’ crooner shared that he is more interested in keeping things platonic rather than getting involved in a serious romantic relationship.

Speaking during a recent episode of the Way Up podcast hosted by Angela Yee, the 30-year-old singer explained that he is currently in a phase of life where he cannot give himself fully to one person.

“Everybody loves love. I mean, love is wonderful. But I’m not really in that space where I can give so much of me to one person. So I’m just keeping it platonic with everybody,” he said.

“I don’t want a serious relationship right now. Because I feel like I won’t be able to give that person as much as I’m supposed to. So why put them in that situation?”

Young Jonn’s comments come shortly after his rumored relationship with Davido’s cousin, Adenike Adeleke, also known as Nikos Living, reportedly ended.

The two had sparked dating rumors in early 2024 when Nikos shared photos and affectionate posts featuring the singer. However, by August 2025, signs of a breakup emerged after they unfollowed each other on social media and deleted pictures of them together.

Young Jonn now seems focused on keeping his personal connections casual while prioritizing his own space and growth.
